Christa Avampato has a career and life that melds her passion for storytelling, her business experience in product development, and her research in the science of biomimicry. A proud graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, the Darden School at the University of Virginia, and the Biomimicry Center at Arizona State University, her work focuses on collaboratively building products, services, and experiences that create a better world. She also has an abiding love for discovering history’s hidden narratives, secrets, and perspectives.
She\\\\\\'s been an invited speaker at SXSW, Games for Change, New York University, Columbia University, Cornell Tech, City University of New York, the Brooklyn Brainery, and the Virginia Festival of the Book. Her non-fiction writing has been featured in The Washington Post, PBS, Royal Media Partners publications, The Henry Ford magazine, Inside History, and Untapped New York. Christa is an award-winning author. Her young adult fantasy novel, Emerson Page and Where the Light Enters, received a warm literary welcome from Kirkus, Midwest Book Review, and Cheddar, and awards from Readers’ Favorite, Nautilus Book Awards, and ScreenCraft’s Cinematic Book competition.
Christa began her career managing Broadway shows and national theater tours. After over a decade as a product leader in the technology industry, she is now the Founder of Double or Nothing Media, a company that provides product development services, and the financial plans, marketing strategies, and compelling brand narratives to bring those products to life. Her client list includes Carnegie Hall, Sesame Workshop, and the City University of New York.
